Field Exposure
During Master Degree course, the researcher visited Shimla, Himachal Pradesh as a field trip (Year – 2000) and has done a close study on the particular urban unit. At the Honours level detailed field survey was done in two villages of Kalimpong area, West Bengal (Year-1998).

During Doctoral Study:
As a part of the research work in the last four years, the undersigned has made a detailed household survey in Dhamakhali village of Sandeshkhali II Block of N. 24 Parganas (Year - 2005), Lebukhali Village of Basanti Block in S. 24 Parganas of Sundarbans (Year-2004), four villages in Sagar Island viz. Kamalpur, Haradhanpur, Bankim Nagar and Gangasagar (Year - 2002), Baromollakhali village and Bally village of Gosaba Block (October, November, December, 2005), Debnibas village and Lakshmipur Abad Village in Namkhana Block (February-March, 2006). One-day field trip was also done in Piyali area of Canning, S. 24 Parganas.
