Awarded National Scholarship for securing rank among first 100 students according to aggregate marks in Secondary (Class X) Examination in the year 1978.
Continued National Scholarship for securing stipulated aggregate marks in Higher Secondary (Class XII) Examination in the year 1980.
Completed graduation with Bengali Honours from Javadpur University in 1983.
Completed Masters in Bengali from Jadavpur University in 1986 with Linguistic as area of specialization.
Stood First Class First in M.A. final examination and awarded by several University Medals for Post-graduation result.
Completed M.Phil. in Bengali from Jadavpur University in the year 1990 and field of dissertation was Psycho-linguistics.
The topic of dissertation was "Manob Shishur Bhasa Shikhakhar Prothom Porbo".

Service Record

Joined West Bengal Education Service (WBES) in the year 1988.
First posting was in Durgapur Government College as Lecturer in Bengali during 1988 to 1995.
Transferred to Bidhannagar College in 1995 as Lecturer in Bengali and promoted to Assistant Professor in 1996 and subsequently to Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in 1999.
Completed Three Refresher courses during the period of 1994 to 1999.
Transferred to Barasat Government College in 2002 as Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in Bengali and subsequently has been designated as Associate Professor in Bengali in the year 2006.
Transferred to Bethune College, Kolkata in 2011 and served in this College up-to 2014.
Transferred to Government General Degree College, Singur in 2014 and served in this College up-to 2016.
Joined Government Girls’ General Degree College, Kolkata in June, 2016 as Associate Professor in Bengali.
Acted as Head of the Departent in most of the colleges served during 2000 to till date.

Wholesome Experience: Academic & Administrative

All affiliated University and Intra-College Examinations related works were done throughout the service period as Paper-setter, Moderator, Examiner and Head Examiner in Under Graduate and Post Graduate level of Burdwan University,University of Calcutta, Jadavpur University, West Bengal State University and Netaji Subhash Open University.
Acted as External examiner for Bengali P.G. Courses in different Government colleges.
Erstwhile member of Board of Studies in Post-graduation department of Bengali, Barasat Government College.
Performed duty as Zonal Centre In-charge of North 24 parganas under Calcutta University from 2002 to 2006 for Under Graduate examinations.
Performed all duties assigned by the Principals (/Officer-in-charge) in academic and administrative sub-committees of different Government colleges served till date.

Study materials in different papers, published by the Netaji Subhash Open University (NSOU) in Bengali Under Graduate course.
Literary Magazine "Tobu Akalobyo"- essays on RabindraNath Thakur's Short stories from 'Galpoguccho'.

Mass media Appearance

'Gyanabani' Radio Channel- participated as anchor and resource person in academic programmes (UG level - NSOU).
DD Bangla: TV Channel- participated as anchor in academic progammes (UG level - NSOU).
During COVID lock down period, delivered lecture on academic topics on Zoom platform, organised by a cluster of colleges.
